You may have misunderstood what I was saying: I believe that there IS a way to put together a couple of adaptors, along with a 90' elbow to make it work. I was simply stating that there is NOT a 1/8" NPT threaded hole anywhere on that rail... you either drill one and tap it or figure out a way to adapt the end plug fitting... just as you did.

I had mine installed by a "professional" (yes i am being fascetious). Needless to say today we were trying to install one in a Civic. So we ripped mine apart to see how in the hell he used the same 45 degree angle adapter as we had just purchased. WeE discovered that he tapped it for the 1/8 npt adapter and then screwed the sender in. So that is the cheap and easy fix, just tap it. But a big thing to remember is DO NOT REMOVE so much material that when you tap it for the thread you do not want only 10-30 % of the thread, but the minimum 70% needed. 10% is a bad idea when you are running 100psi pressures, hello flame thrower, "FIRE BADDDDD!!".I am glad I found this since I will be purchasing and tapping a new banjo bolt in the next week. I will have pics and how-to info on my site later. Keep you all informed.
